Hi all!
I’m taking a step back here from the direct information for helping your training to reflect on the mostly unmentioned.
Our inner-game. Yes, what’s going on in your mind and heart can have a huge effect on your performance and health. Take a step back, reflect, how is training going? How is your head, heart, spirit and soul?
The world will do it’s thing, we can do ours. Cynthia Olsen, in the first paragraph of her book Seven Steps for a Healthy & Youthful Midlife and Beyond says ” controlling the world around us means controlling our inner world.”
What we think, how we think, and how we react to the situations presented to us make all the difference in the world.
Becoming aware of our own paradigms, our reactions that happen in a split second, can be the first step to a healthier and joyful life; including training. By the way, Cynthia’s book is not just for the middle-aged. Her wisdom in the pages can apply to us all. To help you begin a healthy journey in this area, find a trusted friend to be honest with you. Someone that can objectively see you and will share the good with the areas to work on, and is willing to walk by your side. Then watch as your life and training unfold in new ways.
